SMS Privacy Notice
This notice covers the text messages Meridian sends. Meridian is an internal on-call notification tool for a small team, operated at aotp.win.
Who receives messages
Only our own staff, and only those who have ticked a consent box while signed in to our internal console. Consent is never pre-selected and never assumed.
What we collect for messaging
- No number of its own: the messages go to the mobile number your account already holds, which you verified by text when you created it.
- A record that you consented, when, and which version of the wording you were shown.
- If you opt out, the date you did.
A mobile number is required to create an account, and is verified by text at that point. Consenting to on-call messages is not required, and nothing else about you is collected for this messaging programme.
We do not share, sell, rent or licence mobile numbers or consent to anyone, for any purpose. No number collected here is used for marketing, and none is passed to affiliates or third parties. Numbers are handled only by the messaging carrier that delivers the message.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop immediately. We record the opt-out and will not message that number again. Reply HELP for help. You may also untick the consent box in your profile, which withdraws consent. Stopping messages does not affect your access to anything else.
Retention
Your number belongs to your account rather than to this messaging programme, so it is kept for as long as the account exists and withdrawing consent does not delete it. You can remove it yourself under Account & security. A record that a number opted out is kept afterwards, because that is what lets us honour the opt-out.
